NOVEMBER 23 “THIS WEEK IN THE MUSIC OF NONVIOLENT RESISTANCE”

One year ago protest erupted after a decision by a Missouri grand jury not to bring charges against officer Darren Wilson who shot dead teenager Michael Brown.  Protests across America featured songs of nonviolent resistance.

In New York City, Birmingham, and St. Louis/Ferguson songs of nonviolent resistance could be heard, including the song “We Shall Overcome.”
